CNO registration requirements
The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is the regulatory body for RNs and RPNs in the province. To register as an RN you must complete an approved BScN program, pass the NCLEX-RN, meet language requirements, and submit a CNO application with supporting documents.
The CNO uses a competency-based registration process. New graduates typically receive a provisional Certificate of Registration while NCLEX results are pending.
NCLEX-RN prep for Ontario candidates
Ontario graduates write the same NCLEX-RN as US candidates. The exam tests clinical judgment across all client-need categories. Most Ontario schools integrate NCLEX-style assessments into their final year.
NurseNest offers an Ontario-eligible pathway so your practice questions and CAT sessions align with the current NCLEX-RN test plan.
