By the end of this lesson, you should be able to locate the seminal vesicles and prostate in relation to the lower urinary and reproductive tracts, explain how each gland changes semen after sperm leave the epididymis, and interpret common seminal-fluid patterns. You should also be able to distinguish screening from diagnostic PSA testing, recognize the assessment and treatment logic for bothersome male lower urinary tract symptoms, identify medication-related fertility and surgical risks, and prioritize acute urinary retention, prostatitis, epididymitis, and possible testicular torsion.
